Psoriasis is a skin condition that causes skin cells to divide up to 10 times faster than normal. This means that the skin builds up in uneven spots, covered with white scales.

Psoriasis can occur anywhere on the body, but the outbreaks most often occur in the scalp, on the elbows and on the knees.

For most people, it only affects a few skin areas. In severe cases, psoriasis can cover large parts of the body. The outbreaks can heal over the years and then return.

The Nodot Psoriasis Sponge can be used for moderate to mild plaque psoriasis (Psoriasis Vulgaris). The sponge consists of natural konjac fibers and exfoliating pumice grains that gently removes and prevents scaly skin and reduces itching without causing bleeding or spreading to the areas of scaly skin (Negative Koebner Effect).

Rinse and soften the Nodot Psoriasis Sponge in warm water before use. It is important that the sponge is completely soft. Massage the areas of scaly skin in soft circular motions with the arched side of the sponge. Do not press the sponge hard against the scaly skin and massage gently. Repeat the treatment daily until the scaly skin is gone.

Rinse thoroughly after use. Hang by the attached cotton thread in a cool, dry and well-ventilated place, out of reach of children and away from direct sunlight. Do not twist, squeeze or press the sponge too hard, in order to avoid damage to the fibres. Scald the sponge in boiling water once a week.

The Nodot Psoriasis Sponge can be used in combination with a topical or systemic treatment. For topical treatment, the sponge is used before the treatment (for example the cream) is applied.
